OUR STORY

Born and raised in Nottingham, England, Julie moved to the United States in 1983 with her husband to start a new adventure abroad. They built their life and raised two boys, establishing their home in Dallas, Texas for 35 years. Having always loved design and possessing a creative spirit, Julie launched a successful mercantile boutique carrying clothing, homewares, and accessories. Ultimately, Julie and her husband decided to begin a new chapter and relocated to Denver, where they have resided for the past 5 years and are proud to call their new home. Naturally, Julie took her creative passions and drew inspiration from the city, combining the two and founded her boutique, milly rose designs.

Julie has previously partnered with the Denver Art Museum’s exhibit "Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, and Mexican Modernism" from the Jacques and Natasha Gelman Collection, a traveling exhibition that centers on the artworks of various world renowned post-Mexican Revolution artists. In this partnership, the Denver Art Museum gift shop exclusively sold a specially curated collection by milly rose designs, featuring pieces inspired by the Mexican Modernism movement and its key traits and characteristics.
